IG Metall claims that Tesla workers require union legal protection 21 times more often than its average. By Stewart Burnett

Tesla has been accused of intimidating the workforce at its Grünheide plant over sickness rates by IG Metall, Germany’s largest industry union. “Tesla often retroactively questions employees’ sick notes as a first step, demanding that diagnoses be disclosed and doctors be released from their duty of confidentiality,” the union told Handelsblatt.
