Ahead of the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, some of the genre’s biggest stars have arrived on the red carpet in Nashville on Thursday. Shimmering embellishments and metallics have emerged as a trend, with both Miranda Lambert and Shania Twain selecting glittering ensembles. An updated take on traditional western-wear is also emerging on the carpet, as seen in Twain’s denim gown adorned with diamonds and Machine Gun Kelly’s shiny leather vest with modern bolo-style buttons.

Shania Twain elevated the double denim trend in a bejeweled dress made in partnership with Levi’s. The denim gown features a sparkly collar with cutouts exposing her shoulders and mermaid-style silhouette adorned with diamonds. She wore matching denim, elbow-length gloves with diamond and crystal embellishments.

The Best Female Artist of 2024 and Best Female Song of 2024 nominee wore a brown sequined gown featuring a plunging neckline. She accessorized her shiny ensemble with a gold and turquoise necklace and ring, completing the look with sequined, pointed-toe heels. Lambert will receive the honorary Country Icon Award.

Machine Gun Kelly opted for a black and white ensemble, featuring a black leather vest over a white t-shirt. The vest was detailed with silver buttons and bolo-style clasps. He complemented the look with a black tie adorned with a shimmering “LV” monogram, wide-leg black trousers and pointed-toe shoes.

Ballerini opted for an abstract Roberto Cavalli dress with metallic yellow, black and white stripes that cinch at the waist. The CoverGirl ambassador accessorized with chunky rings and dangling earrings.
The second annual People’s Choice Country Awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, are hosted by singer Shania Twain. Miranda Lambert will receive the honorary Country Icon Award, while performers include Kane Brown, Keith Urban and Lady A. The show will be broadcast live on NBC with an option to stream on Peacock.
