Following the 2024 Met Gala, Samsonite just unveiled their ‘Jet Gala’ tribute to one of fashion’s most glittering nights with the creation of looks for the brand’s popular Proxis luggage collection. Inspired by distinctive celebrity ensembles, including those worn by Zendaya, Cardi B, Doja Cat, and Lana Del Rey, the Proxis luggage received the red carpet treatment in custom-created looks. Known for its durable craftsmanship and striking design, the Proxis collection, which launched in 2020, epitomizes innovation and luxury style worthy of its own moment in the spotlight (camera flashes and all).
“With the ‘Jet Gala’ we aimed to reimagine the thrill and allure of one of fashion’s biggest nights within the realm of travel and luggage, inviting fashion enthusiasts and trendsetters alike to hop aboard the journey towards a new era of elegance and sophistication from the carpet to the ‘runway’” said Nicole Adriance, Senior Director of Brand Marketing at Samsonite.

“This isn’t just a moment; it’s a statement—a testament to Samsonite’s relentless pursuit of pushing boundaries and redefining luxury travel, and having some fun along the way.” Says Adriance.
Since its debut, the Proxis collection has since become recognizable for its distinctive design that can be purchased globally across Samonsite stores and in department stores. Its unique Roxkin material, crafted in Hungary and Belgium and exclusive to Samonsite, is the key to what makes the Proxis collection standout among other luggage collections from competitors.
Roxkin, which is comprised of thin layers of polypropylene sheets combined, creates a durable, and recyclable material that’s shock-absorbent and damage-resistant. The Roxkin material is break- and crack-proof, as well as extremely lightweight — a must for frequent fliers who tend to pack in as many of their luxury fashions for a summer getaway. The Proxis collection boasts four sizes: carry-on, medium, large and an extra-large spinner. With features like a built-in USB port, secure sliding, and TSA-friendly lock, the Proxis is ready for adventure.
Recently, Samsonite and USA Gymnastics (USAG) also announced their partnership, naming Samsonite as the official luggage to support the USA team for the 2024 Games in Paris, France. Très chic!
