Leadership at Renault and Stellantis believe refocusing on small cars could lead to market growth in Europe. By Will Girling

New car registrations in the EU fell 1.9% year-on-year in Q1 2025, according to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA). Combined with only 0.8% growth across the entirety of 2024, there is mounting concern that Europe’s post-pandemic passenger car market will remain stagnant.
