Queen Letizia of Spain Goes for Sharp Shoulders in Pink Midi Dress With Floral Appliqués for Palace Luncheon

Queen Letizia of Spain embraced the colors and aesthetics of the spring season during a daytime royal engagement on Wednesday. The royal hosted the official luncheon for the “Miguel De Cervantes 2023” award at the Royal Palace in Madrid alongside her husband, King Felipe of Spain.

For the occasion, the royal wore a pink dress by Spanish brand Pedro del Hierro. The long-sleeve midi dress featured a pleated skirt and blush pink tone. Embellishing the skirt, waist and shoulder of the frock were floral appliqués delicately adorning the fabric and creating a true springtime aesthetic.

To complete the look, Queen Letizia wore a pair of neutral slingback heels and a pair of dainty earrings. The Pedro del Hierro dress was clearly the centerpiece of Queen Letizia’s look.

Queen Letizia is often mindful of the way she accessorizes her looks, particularly when the garment she is wearing is the centerpiece of her curated ensemble. For the “Miguel De Cervantes” Literature Award presentation on Tuesday, Queen Letizia fashioned a tweed dress with frayed detailing on the cuffs of her sleeves and waistline.

The royal kept her accessories very simple, opting for a pair of diamond and Australian pearl earrings. She also carried the bespoke T. Handle M bag by Boss.

There have been some recent occasions, however, where elements of Queen Letizia’s entire ensemble are in conversation with each other. An example of such an occasion is the royal’s recent trip to the Netherlands.

Queen Letizia fashioned a vibrant green tweed dress by Moisés Nieto, which she coordinated with a matching bag by the same label for a reception at the Royal Palace hosted by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands on April 17. She wore another slingback heel by Carolina Herrera and accessorized with a statement hat that complemented the tone of her shoes.
