Portman channeled the red trend in a Balmain skirt suit featuring large rosette appliques. The actress added on a pair of satin Jimmy Choo sandals and diamond jewels by Nouvel Heritage.
Stylist Kate Young, who also counts Dakota Johnson and Nina Dobrev as clients, dressed Portman for the occasion.

Rouge hues are poised for popularity this year after fiery shades took the runways of Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead by storm during the fall 2023 season. Stars like Selena Gomez, Florence Pugh and Kylie Jenner have brought the trend into 2024, incorporating red at events like the Golden Globes and Paris haute couture week.
Melton, meanwhile, suited up in a Louis Vuitton ensemble resembling a vintage zoot suit. His look, which came from the label’s pre-fall 2024 collection, featured wide leg khaki trousers and statement lapels, evoking the popular 1940s silhouette. Melton also added on a white shirt and tie, as well as black loafers.

The Independent Spirit Awards, founded in 1984, celebrate the best films and performances in the independent film and television industry. The 39th annual ceremony, held in Los Angeles on Sunday, is hosted by comedian and former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Aidy Bryant. This year sees the introduction of a new category: Best Breakthrough Performance in a New Scripted Series.
