Mariah Carey did some holiday shopping while out and about in Aspen, Colo. yesterday — and she was dressed for the occasion.
The Queen of Christmas put a festive spin on Après-ski, stepping out in a red and white knitted outfit. Carey visited a store while wearing a red sweater dress with mutton sleeves and an upturned collar. She paired her red dress with a Chanel Beanie, Chanel white gloves, and Giuseppe Zanotti’s slouchy knee-high boots with shearling trim and a lug sole. Carey topped her look with a pair of rectangular white sunglasses and a diamond necklace consisting of her initials.
Carey recently wrapped her Christmastime Tour, concluding a month-and-a-half long run with a final performance at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. At her last set, she performed holiday season favorites like “Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home),” “Here Comes Santa Claus (Right Down Santa Claus Lane),” “Silent Night,” “Joy to the World,” and, of course, her seminal hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
On her Christmastime Tour, Carey put forth a parade of Christmas looks, from red and white gowns to a rendition of the Santa-inspired, marabou-trimmed red jumpsuit she wears in her iconic artwork for “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
Outside of Christmas-themed ensembles, Carey’s style is known for glitz and glamour. This past October, Carey embraced old Hollywood glamour while performing during the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special. The music artist wore a strapless Schiaparelli gown consisting of a draped bodice and a floor-length train, and pairing it with diamond-encrusted jewelry.
After the New Year, Carey will return to Las Vegas for her residency, Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi Live at at Park MGM. Onstage, Carey has been wearing custom looks by Robert Wun, Sophie Couture and Valdrin Sahiti.
