Lionel Messi’s Wife Antonela Roccuzzo Puts Adidas’ Squat-proof Clothing Technology to the Test in Optime Collection Campaign

Antonela Roccuzzo is the new face of Adidas‘ latest campaign. The philanthropist makes her debut with the sportswear company, modeling pieces from Adidas’ new squat-proof Optime collection.

Part of the spring 2025 collection, the Adidas Optime series merges ideal elements for gym attire and day wear. Among the highlights from the collection, Adidas puts a focus on the squat-proof leggings, which emphasize overall support without sacrificing on style.

Adidas’ new legging are engineered with strength-tailored, squat-proof technology. The fabric features a next-to-skin adimove material, providing expert support through every move. Part of the Adidas Training series, the squat-proof apparel is designed to elevate confidence in the gym and beyond.

The collection keeps apparel functionality front-of-mind, prioritizing unrestricted movement and performance-first benefits. The campaign highlights Roccuzzo, who holds a passion for training, putting the apparel to the test in the gym with a rigorous workout.

Pieces in the collection also transition seamlessly from the gym to day-to-day activities. Hero pieces are fronted by a four- and five-inch short and 7/8 legging in a pure ruby colorway.

Each piece in the collection is made of recycled materials that incorporates Adidas’ tech-first, squat-proof material constructs. “It’s our continued ambition at Adidas Training to support all our athletes in realizing their strength and that fundamentally begins and ends with the products we create,” said Aimee Arana, Adidas’ global general manager of sportswear and training.

“Knowing that strength training continues to be the fastest-growing workout type amongst the next generation, we set out to design apparel — such as the squat-proof Optime — that will allow the training community to reach their goals with confidence,” Arana said. “We are proud, and excited to add another strength-tailored solution — unveiled by our latest Adidas Training partner Antonela Roccuzzo — to our portfolio, so we can continue to ensure our athletes have the best support and experience when working out.”
