Lara Trump accompanied her husband, Eric, to the Liberty Inaugural Ball to celebrate his father Donald Trump’s second inauguration on Monday in Washington, D.C. She was dressed in a strapless red gown featuring a corset bodice and a column skirt with a dramatic cascading ruffle train attached to it.
Lara’s dress was created by designer Oscar Garcia-Lopez, a former contestant of the “Project Runway” spinoff “Under the Gunn.” He is the creative director of Oscar G. Couture and Oscar Lopez Designs.
Garcia-Lopez has a long relationship with Trump, collaborating with her on multiple occasions. She wore one of his creations to Donald Trump’s first inauguration and for the 2016 presidential debates. The former television producer was also dressed by Garcia-Lopez for the 2025 New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, when she sang with Tom Petty on stage.
For the Liberty Inaugural Ball, Garcia-Lopez also designed for Donald Trump’s younger daughter Tiffany.
“I always like to ask my clients what they like and what they dislike about themselves. In the end, it’s a collaboration between the customer and the designer. But they always trust the designer – I love that,” Garcia-Lopez told WWD on Friday.
Lara end Eric Trump joined other couples at the Liberty Inaugural Ball stage for a dance, including Tiffany Trump and Michael Boulos, Melania Trump and President Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, and Vice President JD Vance and Usha Vance.
Donald Trump’s second inauguration as the 47th President of the United States took place on Monday in Washington, D.C. The day began with a worship service at St. John’s Episcopal Church and a White House meeting between incoming and outgoing presidents. The mandated swearing-in ceremony happened on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol. Following the inauguration, guests and supporters of the President are expected to attend three evening celebrations, including the Commander in Chief Ball, Liberty Inaugural Ball and Starlight Ball.
