Harwell Godfrey and Ashley Longshore Fete Collaboration

Fine jeweler Lauren Harwell Godfrey and Pop artist Ashley Longshore invited guests to an intimate soiree at Longshore’s SoHo gallery to fete their limited-edition Press for Champagne collaboration ring, Harwell Godfrey x Ashley Longshore.

“I adore Ashley and love that we share a tremendous passion for so many things — jewelry, art, fashion, caviar and of course, Champagne,” Harwell Godfrey explained. “I had been dreaming of a jewelry collaboration with Ashley from the first time I met her and saw how she loves and wears the pieces she collects. A cocktail ring in honor of our favorite bubbly beverage just felt right. It has so many fun details: a champagne diamond that can actually be pressed, Art Deco-inspired engravings, and underneath, a saying from Ashley that’s become my new mantra, ‘No pagne, no gain.’”

Made from 18-karat gold and set with a single 0.7-carat champagne diamond and white diamond pavé, the large-scale ring plays on the “Press for Champagne” buttons found at famous Art Deco Russian-inspired haunt Bob Bob Ricard in London. The back features engravings of both creatives’ logos as well as Longshore’s “No pagne, no gain” slogan.

“I am a huge fan of Lauren and have been a collector of her gorgeous baubles for years,” Longshore said. “We both share a love for Pop, glamour and whimsy, so when she approached me about collaborating the answer was an immediate enthusiastic big sparkly yes! This ring is so fabulous and the fact that the diamond is actually pressable is genius. My collectors are going to love this — I love this!”

A 2023 Fashion Trust U.S. finalist and 2022 Gem Award for Jewelry Design winner, Harwell Godfrey’s pieces are handcrafted in 18-karat gold with precious gemstones, inlay and ethically sourced diamonds. In 2020 she launched her Charity Heart series in 2020, donating 100 percent of proceeds to nonprofit organizations.

Guests including Jill Stuart, president of Fendi Americas Joanna Dubin, and CFDA Vogue/Fashion Fund nominee Bach Mai sipped Champagne and ate caviar on potato chips while trying on rings.

The 20-piece edition will be sold exclusively on harwellgodfrey.com.
