Cate Blanchett embraced her penchant for sustainable fashion at the 2025 Golden Globes in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Sunday. The actress wore an upcycled iteration of a Louis Vuitton gown that she first wore at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of her film “Rumours” in May.

Blanchett’s beaded frock featured a round neckline and a bodice with a bubble hem. It differed slightly from her original look, including crystals dotted around the neck and shoulders. The actress accessorized with diamond-encrusted hoops. Stylist Elizabeth Stewart, who also counts Amanda Seyfried and Julia Roberts as clients, dressed Blanchett for the occasion.

The “Disclaimer” star wore her blond tresses in a sleek bob, while her makeup consisted of metallic eyeshadow and pink blush.

Blanchett has been known to favor eco-friendly looks on the red carpet: at the 2023 BAFTAs, she wore a custom Louis Vuitton necklace made from recycled pearls and a teal tourmaline gem, while she famously modeled a repurposed Armani gown on multiple occasions, including at the 2014 Golden Globes and the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

“Disclaimer,” an Apple TV+ miniseries, is written and directed by Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón. Based on Renée Knight’s 2015 novel of the same name, it follows documentarian Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) as she discovers she is the subject of a novel. The series costars Sacha Baron Cohen, Kevin Kline and “Squid Game” star Hoyeon.

The 2025 Golden Globes ceremony celebrates over eight decades of honoring entertainment excellence. Broadcast on CBS and hosted by Nikki Glaser, this year’s event featured 27 categories, including drama, comedy and limited series.
