Brooks Nader gave the little black dress an edge on Friday in New York, stepping out in a latex look with matching elbow-length fingerless gloves. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl accessorized with sheer knee-high stockings and platform pumps, completing her look with a black fringe handbag.
Nader wore her dirty blond tresses in waves, while her makeup consisted of black eyeliner, mauve blush and a matching lip.
On Wednesday, the model took a hint from the ’60s while attending the Joe’s Jeans x Dani Michelle dinner in Los Angeles. Nader paired a wide headband with a cropped cardigan, evoking one of the decade’s “It” girls, Brigitte Bardot.
Stylist Dani Michelle, whose celebrity clients include Kendall Jenner and Daisy Edgar-Jones, recently debuted a capsule with Joe’s Jeans. Her exclusive edit includes new takes on the brand’s bestselling denim styles, as well as cashmere cardigans and leather pieces.
In August, WWD exclusively revealed that Nader is collaborating with Hudson Jeans on her first apparel collection, out in March.
“I got a little denim boot camp over at the Centric Brands’ office in L.A., and it was so fascinating,” she said, referring to the company that owns and operates Hudson.
Nader also elaborated on her personal connection to the brand, which she frequently wore in her youth.
“We grew up riding horses, country, little Southern girls, and we always, always, always had to have a pair of Hudson jeans.…It was the thing you had to wear, because it made your butt look so freaking good. If you weren’t wearing those in high school, no one was looking at your butt,” she said.
The model’s Hudson capsule comprises 17 pieces, including trendy straight-leg and low-rise denim silhouettes. It also features closet staples like white T-shirts and leather jackets. Nader was particularly inspired by the “off-duty” styles of ’90s supermodels: her mood board was plastered with vintage photos of Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington.
