Beyoncé Glitters in Gold Gucci Dress for SirDavis Paris Event, Accessorizes with Bedazzled Whiskey Bottle Purse

Beyoncé brought old Hollywood glamour to Paris at an event honoring her whiskey brand, SirDavis. The singer posted to Instagram on Saturday sharing her party look — a plunging Gucci gown covered in gold sequins.

The “Cowboy Carter” artist channeled Marilyn Monroe, wearing her peroxide blond tresses in a curly bob. Her makeup, meanwhile, consisted of sparkly gold eyeshadow and a glossy nude lip. Decals on her bronze nails featured a gold horse, nodding to the SirDavis logo. Beyoncé also carried a bedazzled clutch in the shape of its fluted glass bottle.

Beyoncé debuted her whiskey label back in August. Retailing for $89, the brand is named for Beyoncé’s paternal great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a farmer and moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition. He was known to stash whiskey bottles in the empty knots of cedar trees for friends and family to find and enjoy, according to a SirDavis press release.

“I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whiskey and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whiskey was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy. In partnering with Moët Hennessy, we have crafted a delicious American whiskey that respects tradition but also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category. You can taste it better than I could ever tell you — welcome, SirDavis.”

Beyoncé is a known purveyor of Japanese whisky. She and her husband traveled to the country in April, where they attended a Yamazaki tasting.

“SirDavis is not only a revelatory and exceptional American whiskey, which we are very proud of, it is also a testament of the unwavering dedication to craftsmanship, heritage and innovation shared by LVMH and Beyoncé,” said Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer of LVMH, which encompasses Moët Hennessy.
