AmericanHort Virtual Panel to Discuss the Latest in Disease, Pest, and Weed Control


Heidi Doering, Koppert’s national Ornamental Crop Specialist, has been invited among others to participate in AmericanHort’s Community Connector Roundtable: Managing Pests, Diseases & Weeds on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST. This interactive and ornamentals community-focused webinar features two expert panel discussions and Q&A sessions tailored for professionals across the horticulture industry, including garden retail, greenhouse, interior plantscape, landscape, and nursery.

Heidi has worked with Koppert for the past decade and is one of the most well-informed plant experts at Koppert regarding ornamental IPM. Her experience in many aspects of ornamental horticulture from production through sales fuels her passion for mentoring growers of all ages as they transition away from conventional to more sustainable methods of managing insect pests and plant pathogens. Heidi’s broad range of knowledge spans greenhouse production, university extension, sales, and technical product management. She earned her undergraduate degree in horticulture and business administration at UW-River Falls with Dr Terry Ferriss as her advisor and her master’s in horticulture at Penn State.
