Amanda Seyfried opted for maximal glamour at the 2025 Joy Awards in Riyadh. When the actress arrived at the red carpet, she did so in a gown from Alessandro Michele‘s debut spring collection for Valentino.
Seyfried wore a standout from Valentino’s spring 2025 collection: a tiered gown with a contrasting bow at the center and pleated rosettes at the neckline in the fashion house’s signature color. Seyfried’s gown, which forwent the keyhole it was shown on the runway with, was styled with a pair of metallic platform sandals and a pair of drop diamond earrings. Beauty wise, Seyfried opted for minimalism with a focus on mascara, a touch of blush, and a soft cranberry.

Michele, who succeeded Pierpaolo Piccioli in 2024 after departing from Gucci in 2022, took inspiration for the spring 2025 collection from 18th- and 19th-century gardens that were constructed as eye candy. “I think that fashion is the embellishment of the garden that is life,” Michele told WWD when he showed the collection in September.
Blending his taste for maximalism with Valentino’s heritage, Michele said of his approach to the collection: “It can look very me, in a way. I’m here, and it’s me.”
“It’s a real house with a real owner, with his chair, his table,” Michele added of his approach to designing for Valentino. “It’s like you are a guest, so you need to do a deep dive. I went through the things, all the little details, the ruffles, the bows, the polka dots, the colors, the embroideries, the embellishment, also the synthesis that he did in a very opulent way in just one dress.”

Last month Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple Martin became the first celebrity to wear custom Alessandro Michele for Valentino. Martin was fitted in a strapless blue gown that consisted of a bow at the cinched waist and six plissé tiers for her debut at the famed Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris. Her dad, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, also wore custom Valentino for the occasion: a tuxedo Michele designed for him. Meanwhile Paltrow wore a frothy sheer gown by Valentino Alessandro Michele from Valentino’s spring and Apple Martin’s brother Moses wore a Valentino suit.
Seyfried was joined at the 2025 Joy Awards by celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey, Morgan Freeman, Anthony Hopkins, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Martin Lawrence. The fifth installment of the awards show, which was organized by Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority to recognize standouts across film, TV, sports and social media, featured performances from Aguilera as well as Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble, Wael Kfoury, and Mohammed Abdu.
