La La Anthony was among the first arrivals of A-list celebrities and high-profile guests for the 2025 Met Gala on Monday in New York City. The annual fundraising event featured a bevy of stars at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s iconic steps ahead of the spring exhibition.
For the occasion, Anthony went into the archives and wore a piece with significant sartorial meaning. The Amgen partner wore a look from Off-White by the late designer Virgil Abloh. Anthony took to her official Instagram account to share the significance of wearing the piece. Abloh died at the age of 41 in November 2021.

“Honored to be wearing Archive Off-White by Virgil Abloh,” Anthony began the caption to her Instagram carousel post. “Virgil was a visionary who undeniably changed the game. Thank you Shannon Abloh, Simon & the entire [Off-White] team for allowing me to carry on the Off-White legacy at the Met. This is more than just a look, it’s a tribute,” she wrote.
Anthony’s attire featured a striking black jumpsuit with a belted waist, wide-leg pants and an Atelier Biser corset. The look featured added asymmetry, with full waves of gray fabric creating a voluminous skirt and shoulder.

Anthony accessorized her attire with pieces of jewelry courtesy of Lorraine Schwartz. Her earrings, ring and bracelet featured a shimmering silver set of serpenti-inspired jewelry. She also wore pointed toe heels by Jimmy Choo.
Anthony’s hair was styled in a sleek updo with a glittering hair accessory at the base of her ornate bun. Her makeup included bold brows and eyes with a neutral lip by artist Armond Hambrick. Anthony’s look was curated by stylist Maeve Reilly.
